West Lakes Recruit are currently looking for a Multi Disciplined Principal Engineer to be based in South Cumbria.

What youll be doing:
· Provide Nuclear Safety Engineering support, including emergent issues resolution, across three generations of Naval Reactor Plant (NRP) throughout the Design, Build and Commission lifecycle
· Act as the Intelligent Customer for documentation and advice concerning the NRP and safety case provided to the company
· Conduct Nuclear Safety assessment of submarine design changes and deviations, including application of Safety Engineering techniques
· Assure that the design intent of the NRP is maintained to support entry into Nuclear build phases
· Developing sound technical solutions to issues arising during construction and commissioning of the NRP

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Degree qualified Engineering/Physical Science discipline, Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics or similar
· Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry and Nuclear Regulations
· Previous exposure to Engineering Lifecycle
· Proven experience of justifying design change, ideally on a Nuclear Plant
· Previous Nuclear Plant experience
Desirable:
· Proven technical report writing skills
· Presentation skills
