SW Locums are looking for a Senior Social Worker for the Adult Learning Disabilities Team in Northamptonshire. The worker needs to have extensive, demonstratable post qualification UK experience in a similar setting.
Requirements:
* The worker needs to be able to work with complex Learning-disabled people using a strength a based approach and 3 conversation model.
* Understands adult social care legislation, Mental capacity act, experience in COP applications.
* Able to work as part of a team as well as independently, positive and proactive attitude.
* The purpose of the Inclusion Hub is to provide progression support for those who have long-term care needs, to become more independent, fulfil their life and have a fuller role in society. This means pro-actively working with/supporting people who are under 65 years of age (except those who have a Learning Disability).
* You must have an interest in and have experience of working with adults under the age of 65, in a multi-disciplinary way and be able to work quickly and proportionately. You will have confidence in respect of decision making and positive risk taking including the promotion of a Strengths Based Approach to our work with people we support and, where applicable, their family/carers and be able to maintain high standards of work.
* You will have a proven experience of effectively supporting, motivating, managing and developing staff and coordinating available resources. You will have experience of performance management and an ability to be able to able to work to defined deadlines and contribute to strategic objectives and outcomes of the service.
