Business Development Manager

£50,000 + commission (OTE £80,000+).
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationwide fire protection and suppression organisation, who are looking to grow their sales function.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for new project sales, working as part of an established sales team you will be responsible for selling Fire Detection, Sprinklers, Suppression, Security, Voice, Monitoring and Integrated Systems.
Key Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:
* Develop relationships with new and existing clients.
* Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications.
* Carrying out and arranging site visits to identify potential customers.
* Advising prospective and existing customers on forthcoming product developments.
* Discussing special promotions, cross-selling and upselling to existing customers.
* Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed pre-agreed targets.
Requirements for a successful Business Development Manager:
* Experience selling new projects for fire suppression, detection and or security systems.
* A rounded knowledge of fire protection systems is essential.
* A proven sales record, consistently achieving personal targets.
* A minimum of two years Business Development Manager, Account management or similar sales experience.
* Ability to travel between sites and in person sales meetings.
* Excellent sales and communication skills, both written and verbal with exceptional customer service.
Based from home this role requires travel between client meetings and site visits, so a full UK driving license is required.
There is a salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience, with a car or car allowance and bonuses, offering a fantastic earning potential
