Regional Account Executive
You will join our client as a Regional Account Executive responsible for delivery of volume, value and market share growth through existing wholesale customers and large regional retailer customers in a defined territory.
Regional Account Executive Responsibilities:
Retail:
To deliver against golden store objectives in nominated retail customers
Identify and profile large retail customers within the territory
Engage with key decision makers to present category recommendations & brand initiatives
Implement availability, visibility, pricing & secondary placement improvements in-store
Activate brand & seasonal initiatives in-store
Develop & leverage joint business plans where appropriate
Regular customer contact to maintain in-store improvements
Liaise with field sales representatives operating within the territory
Wholesale:
Account management of assigned customers to deliver against sales value targets
Develop joint business plans to improve availability, visibility, pricing & secondary placement
Present and implement brand and seasonal initiatives
Propose promotions, submit forecasts & ensure effective execution
Review & forecast demand for major customers
Manage & track local investment budgets
Produce suggested orders, manage stock holding & process customer orders
Negotiate and implement price increases and pack changes when appropriate
General:
Share category & market insight and respond to request for information from internal customers
Prepare & present regular internal business reviews
Maintain accurate customer records
Establish effective working relationships with internal customers in all departments
To carry out any other tasks commensurate with this post.
Ad-hoc support to visit outlets in Grocery, High St and Discounter Channels.
Regional Account Executive Requirements:
- Experience of working for an FMCG business
- Experience of working within the wholesale and/or independent convenience sector
- Experience at building relationships at all levels
- Negotiating & influencing skills
- Good level Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid UK driving licence with minimum 24 months driving experience
- Have a flexible approach i.e. be available to travel throughout the territory and beyond including overnight stays where appropriate to the needs of the business
