Senior Software Engineer Staffordshire, UK £45-65k + benefits
This is a new opening for an entry senior / lead software engineer with a background in model-based software and ideally embedded software development (embedded C, Matlab / Simulink) to work on a variety of new features and functions for vehicle projects.
Required:
* 5+ years of post-academic full lifecycle experience of developing software for control / mechatronic systems
* Experience gained with model-based Matlab / Simulink and ideally embedded C software programming
* Experience of working on safety critical systems would be beneficial
* Experience working in the automotive, marine, rail, avionics or similar safety critical domain would be desirable.
* Ability to technically lead / mentor junior engineers
The senior / Lead Software engineer should have experience in embedded C (some) and Matlab/Simulink (more) applied to the development of control or mechatronic systems ideally for automotive systems.
The role will involve working within a team of experienced engineers on the development of embedded software / model based software for new and future technology developments. This could include engine / gearbox control, HMI / steering / controls, HVAC, object detection / Radar / ADAS features, etc.
NOTE: the company is migrating to model based software development.

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 for this position, depending on experience. In addition, you will also be part of a supportive and collaborative team that will help you to develop your skills and progress your career.
This senior / lead software development role is based onsite and is commutable from Rocester, Stoke on Trent, Northwich, Crewe, Macclesfield. Derby, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton
