Family Support Worker - Birmingham

Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a Family Support and Safeguarding team based in Birmingham.

Umbrella Rate: £19.49 per hour

Duration: 29/10/2023 2 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm, 36.5 hrs/week

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

Working alongside social workers, managing and prioritising a complex caseload
Direct working with families offering support and guidanceAchieve good outcomes for children and families through coordination and delivery of early help work across Family Support/Think Family

Contact supervision with children and parents/ carers
Support on healthy relationships, parenting, guidance and boundaries
Complete assessments of childrens needs
Deliver evidence based interventions to positively effect change that safeguards and promotes the welfare of children and young people
Identify issues that require escalation
To act as a champion in a specific practice area (e.g. domestic violence, substance misuse, disability, parenting etc.) on behalf of the team/service delivering workshops and providing advice and support where relevant
Working in partnership with key statutory and non-statutory stakeholders
Be responsible for a high standard of case recording that is up to date; including use of a common database
Organise and chair case planning and review meetings, and attend conference meetings
Essential Requirements

Recent experience in Family Support/ working with vulnerable children and families
Experience of delivering evidence based interventions
Experience of completing children assessment
Able to identify issues that require escalation and be able to escalate these
Willingness to undertake relevant training in order to comply with the requirements of the post
You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
