CAD Designer (Solar)

Office based/Hybrid/Remote

You can be based in or near any of the following locations: Peterborough, Corby, Northampton, Leicester, Cambridge, Kettering, March, Stamford

£30,000 - £40,000 + Training + Holidays (25 days + 8 Bank Holidays) + Pension

Do you come from a civils background, looking to work within the fastest growing sector of Renewables on large, utility scale solar projects?

Are you looking for training on specific solar park spatial design specific CAD packages?

On offer is the opportunity to work for an engineering consultancy company working on utility scale solar PV and battery storage units with over 10 years' experience in the industry. They work with some of the largest clientele in the industry, on a wide range of projects with a focus on high complexity, low volume design and technical support work. Not your run of the mill, cookie cutter projects. Their reputation in the industry has resulted in increased demand for their work, therefore looking to expand their workforce for continued growth.

In this role you'll be producing Utility scale solar park spatial designs. Working with Helios 3D as the design software. You will be creating Topographical surveys and basic road layout mapping in the role according to project specific specifications. As you gain experience within the industry, you will gain further responsibilities by running the companies CAD standards and supporting development as additional employees are brought on.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Auto CAD civil 3D, coming from a civils construction background on infrastructure projects, looking to get into the renewables industry. With a good understanding of Topographical surveys and basic road layout mapping.
