The Role

To process weight and CoG information to allow monitoring of lightship weight and CoG against budgets.

Core Duties:

Not limited to...

Extracting Weight and Centre of Gravity information from Bills of Materials and Product Design System (Foran)
Checking veracity of data and liaising with part owners to address any missing or anomalous information
Entering weight and Centre of Gravity information into Weight Accounting Database
Providing weekly status reports
Reviewing Procpack & Supplier information
Liaising with Change Owners to establish weight risks from Product Changes

Knowledge:

Not limited to...

Good numeracy skills and knowledge of data processing fundamentals
Proficient in the use of Excel
Ability to follow detailed process instructions
Communication Skills, able to liaise by telephone to people of all levels
Experience of working with large amounts of data

Skills:

Not limited to...

Demonstrates attention to details and process through monitoring work packages or projects.
Researches when mining information.
Able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team through development of a wide network or contacts.
Good communicator.

Qualifications:

Minimum HNC/HND in a technology, engineering or science related discipline

Security Requirements: BPSS

This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles
