Humber Recruitment are looking for a HR Advisor for a valued client based in Scarborough. To work in a team providing comprehensive and progmatic HR advice and support to line managters and employees across the Group.
Key responsibilities to include:
Provide high quality advice to line managers and employees on a broad range of HR processes relating to employee relations, terms and conditions, health & wellbeing including referrals to Occupational Health.
Develop effective and collaborative approaches to deal with complex staffing issues in individual teams or on a service or college-wide basis in line with our HR policies and procedures.
Provide support during formal meetings and hearings under the relevant policies. This can include supporting the logistics of an investigation e.g. note taking, arranging meetings, preparing evidence packs or advising at formal hearings
Undertake appropriate training/retraining of staff and managers.
Be responsible for the completion, dissemination and follow up of absence management reporting.
Ensure compliance of sickness documentation in line with policy
Collaborate with colleagues in HR to effectively manage key HR processes including probation, fixed term contracts
Developing a strong working knowledge of HR policies and procedures, and be confident in providing clear and accurate advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Sourcing, monitoring and processing of any authorised agency requests in accordance with Policy.
You MUST be CIPD qualified/part qualified and have evidence of continuous professional development and have a solid understanding of current employment law and associated risk. Up to date knwoledge of latest developments in the HR area and emplyment legislation
