Assistant Accountant | £30,000 - £35,000 + Study Support | Bolton | PE-backed business | High-calibre team

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth PE-backed business in Bolton to recruit an Assistant Accountant who is hard-working, driven and keen to succeed. This is a highly sought-after role which is well suited to ambitious Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA seeking to grow and develop alongside a business as there will be plenty of scope for long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Production of the monthly management accounts
Reporting actuals against budgets
Managing payroll each month for a number of entities
Weekly cashflow forecasting and KPI reporting
Monitoring control environment (balance sheet reconciliations / system processes)
Monthly transactional analysis
Management of Fixed Asset schedule and posting depreciation to management accounts
Management of prepayments and accruals
Raising sales invoices and posting purchase invoices
Intercompany reconciliations
Opportunity to lead a number of projects and improvement projects
Management of quarterly VAT returns
Supplier payments
Support with external audit
Ad-hoc reporting
Required Experience and Skills:

AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational and time-keeping skills
High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
Good IT and MS Excel skills
Prior exposure to month-ends
