Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Company Description: Our client are a leading provider of integrated building services, specializing in electrical, mechanical, and information communication technology (ICT) solutions. Their diverse portfolio includes projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial sectors and as they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the Leeds based commercial team to contribute to their ongoing success.

Position Overview: We are currently looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to be based at our Leeds office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management: Oversee and manage the cost elements of building services projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.

2. Budget Control: Develop and monitor project budgets, providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.

3. Procurement: Lead the procurement process, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality materials and services.

4. Contract Administration: Administer and manage construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

5. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks related to costs, contracts, and project timelines, implementing strategies for risk mitigation.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.

7. Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, forecasting future costs and providing insights into project financial performance.

Requirements:

1. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying .

2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building services sector.

3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.

4. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

6. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Excel.

Location: Leeds, with occasional travel to project sites.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus company car and benefits.
