New Directions are recruiting a full time Teaching Assistant to work in a school in the Carmarthen area. You will be required to work mainly with Primary aged pupils. Your role will be to support the children in the classroom and during break times. You will be fully supported by the class teacher.
For this position you will need to have previous experience working with challenging behaviour within a school setting. De-escalation training would also be beneficial. The school are looking for someone who is looking to commit to a long-term placement to ensure continuity for the pupils, you will need the ability to build strong relationships but also diffuse volatile scenarios when they arise.

For this role you will need to:
Have a relevant, child related qualification OR relevant experience.
Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
