Our client is a leading civil engineering and infrastructure company, they work across a range of sectors including infrastructure, groundworks, and highways within the Southeast, Home Counties and South Midlands.

Due to an expanding order book combined with an increased volume of tender opportunities the company are seeking a Planner / Senior Planner to grow the infrastructure department. The ideal candidate will have broad experience and knowledge of all aspects of civil engineering with specific knowledge of highway work. Previous experience as a site agent or project manager required along with currently working in a planning role. Experience and competent use of Asta power project software is preferable.

Duties

Review tender documents / project scope to determine project timescale.

Produce phasing plans & construction sequence methodologies.

Carry out site visits for tender purposes.

Engage with project team / external supply chain for programme and methodology advice.

Produce tender programmes including design, procurement, and construction.

Development of programmes to include resource loading for Histograms / S-Curves.

Work closely with the project teams to development and maintain project programmes.

Issuing look ahead extracts assisting project teams in short term planning.

Programme updates in collaboration with the project team / Clients representatives.

As-built programme development.

Skills & Experience Required

Relevant civils experience at least 10 years on site in a site agent or project manager role and 2 years as a pre-contracts or project planner.

Production of tender programmes that include design, procurement, and construction.

Production of histograms and S-Curves.

Writing programme narratives to explain programme submissions.

Tender review meetings and methodologies.

Planning section of pre-qualification documents.

Client interviews and presentations.

Engage with supply chain for programme and methodology advice.
