JOB TITLE

Friendly Café Assistant. Required ASAP.

- £11.75 ph.

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (16 hours pw)

- Statutory paid holidays. Further unpaid leave may be permissible during school holidays if required this can be discussed at interview.

Croft Park Café is a family owned and operated business situated on the Croft Park holiday lodge park in Little Weighton (HU20). We are renowned for our friendly service; this isnt just a corporate tagline; its a part of our DNA and is regularly mentioned in our 5* reviews across all platforms! We have built a loyal and amazing set of regular customers over the last 6 years and continue to welcome new guests daily, because of this Croft Park is a very busy café. The atmosphere on shift, although extremely fast-paced, is friendly and good fun. With banter to be enjoyed with your team members and customers alike; youll know youve put a shift in by the end of the day, but you will have had a great time doing so with like-minded people and a set of customers who value and respond positively to our friendly, hardworking team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of a small team, you will be required to perform most tasks associated with working in a busy café.

- Barista duties: Making coffees, pouring soft/bottled and draught drinks

- Using till system & handling cash/card sales

- Serving customers/taking orders using epos tablet system

- Delivering friendly and efficient table service

- Washing pots and maintaining 5* hygiene standards throughout the café

Of course, this list isnt exhaustive. We are a small, dedicated team who regularly perform any task that is necessary to ensure our customers leave our premises happy, which in turn ensures our reputation continues to grow. The owners/family work extremely long hours and in tandem with our existing team can often be found at the sink or with a mop in hand; nobody is too important to muck in to reach the desired goals, nor is any job more than important than another.

We also have a great weekend team who enjoy extra shifts during half-term etc so a degree of flexibility can be offered during some school holidays if youd like to try to organise your working schedule around these periods. We provide private health insurance for all our employees over the age of 18 (policy requirement) as a continuing thank you. With pay exceeding NMW and contributions toward a pension scheme we do our utmost to show our gratitude to the hard-working members of our team who make the business a continuing success.

QUALIFICATIONS

All required training will be given during your induction period so previous experience is not a necessity for this position. We are more interested in personal attributes which should include:

- Ability to enjoy hard work in a fast-paced environment. If you are part of the new social media generation who enjoys do nothing Mondays and wind down Fridays etc then this post isnt for you you will quickly stand out like a sore thumb.

- Friendly approach to customer care and a hospitable nature.

- Ability to follow instructions from (often younger) shift leaders.

- Ability to prioritise own workload.

- Able to find another gear where required.

- An appreciation that every job adds to the overall customer experience; everything and everyone makes a difference, whatever task theyre performing.
