Job Title:
Occupational Therapist Band 6 (Associate) / Self Employed Part time to full time week, minimum of 18 hours per week
Term time to full time contract, with a minimum of 38 weeks per year
Job Summary:
We are looking for more Band 6 level paediatric OTs to join our exciting and growing practice.
The client deliver assessments and treatment for children aged 2, right up to young people, aged 25.
Services are either delivered at our clinic, at the client's school or their home. We still have the occasional requirement to deliver services online.
The majority of our clients are on the autistic spectrum, many with sensory needs as well as learning disabilities and other co-occurring conditions.

Must have a Full UK Driving License
Must be a car owner
Willing to drive up to 2 hrs per day (if required) to visit clients at their home, school, college, nursery
Have the right to work in the UK
Associate / Self Employed only
No overseas sponsorship
Live in the Hampshire area
Minimum of 2 years paediatric experience working in a specialist/community setting
Qualifications in Sensory Integration an advantage
Willing to carry out assessments and treatment sessions for the public and private sector aged between 2 - 25 years
Responsibilities and Duties:
Undertake OT assessments either in-house or in the community
Report writing and drawing up of treatment recommendations and therapy goals, ensuring regular re-evaluation of progress to the required standard
Provide OT support and guidance during therapy sessions
Maintain a high quality of clinical note writing following each OT session and when indicated, ensuring electronic records and activity are kept according to RCoT and HCPC standards
Liaise with and train parents / carers regarding treatment which can be provided at home
Liaise with and train other agencies involved, such as schools, support workers for school based treatment
Liaise with other agencies, such as other health professionals, Local Authorities
Undertake assessment and report writing which fulfil the criteria for EHCP application
Enable young person and parents / carers to access and use assistive devices where appropriate
Undergo regular, in-house clinical supervision
Attend such training sessions in order to maintain high clinical standards
Ensure awareness of, and adherence to, Ace COT policies and procedures and refresh self regularly
