You'll be working a four-on/four-off shift pattern for 12 hours (two days and two nights).
As well as a great range of benefits, this role offers shift and overtime premium rates for weekend and bank holiday hours.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing the mill with operative support in order to meet site standards to maintain product consistency, equipment reliability, operational efficiency and maximize factory output.
To operate the facility in execution of all operational tasks on a day-to-day basis. This includes logistics, materials handling, small maintenance tasks and operating specific equipment to the required standards.
Responsibilities of the Machine Operative include:
Controlling the machine maintaining efficiencies and quality.
Perform quality inspections and QA tests.
Troubleshoots day to day issues.
Operation of FLT, clamp truck, skid steer and cherry picker.
Carry out machine cleaning.
To have a good understanding of chemicals used in and around the papermaking process.
Start up and shut down the paper machine.This role would suit candidates with experience as a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operator, or similar role.

Essential Skills
Able to work in a pressurised FMCG operation, with good time-management skills.
Able to train and coach other members of the team.
Able to operate a forklift truck
Good problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate clearly and in a constructive manner.
Desirable Skills
5 GCSEs of Grade C and above.
5 years' experience in operating complex automated manufacturing equipment.
