Primary objectives for the Duty Manager will be:
Day to day management of Edwalton Golf Centre in duty manager capacity; taking responsibility for all aspects of the department in line with company standards and policies, including Health & Safety, Staff, Legal Compliance, Service Delivery and Sales & Marketing.The Duty Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
Understand the Company Quality Manual and Safe Operating Procedures
Ensure all areas of the golf operation are presented and running efficiently
Undertake daily walk-around checks and report any faults
Management of buggy and trolley hire fleet, ensuring all equipment is maintained, presentable and any faults recorded
Ensure all financial controls and policies are adhered to, including till operation, end of day reports and float management
To ensure smooth running of all F&B procedures within the clubhouse, including completion of Food safety sheet and Daily task check sheet.
Complete end of day cleaning so the building is presentable when opening the following day.
Health & Safety
Ensure all company Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed.
Undertake daily walk-around checks and report any faults.
Report any incidents in accordance to Company policy.
HR
To act as Duty Manager for the Centre Manager, ensuring that work performance, timekeeping and general standards are maintained to Company standards.
Attend site meetings as required.
Bookings
Managing the Tee, Buggy and Coaching booking systems.
Review bookings for catered activities, ensuring appropriate preparations are in place for all events.
Ensuring all enquiries are responded to and recorded properly.
Ensure room is prepared for all block booking activities.
Sales
Support the Centre Manager by developing a strong sales culture within the team, maximising sales at every opportunity.
Work with the Centre Manager to support the group Sales & Marketing Plan and administer a local Sales & Marketing plan, to achieve budgeted sales targets across all business segments.
Ensure all marketing and sales activity is delivered efficiently and correctly reported.
Members
Manage the member database and ensure that member arrivals are accurately recorded.Retail
Overseeing shop merchandising standards.
Ensure all marketing materials and promotions are correctly displayed and updated.
Ensure golf retail stock is presented to required standard and stocked up at all times.
To complete end of month stock take when required.
