Part-Time Accountant Position

The Role: As a Part-Time Accountant at Toro, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a rapidly expanding company and to grow professionally within the recruitment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily accounting tasks, including invoicing, payroll processing, VAT returns, financial reporting, and overseeing contractor payments and timesheet management.
* Handle all aspects of the purchase ledger and sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
* Work closely with the management team to implement and improve financial strategies.
* Provide insights and recommendations to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency.
About You:
* Proven experience in an accounting role, ideally within the recruitment, manufacturing, utilities, or energy sectors.
* The idea candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent), candidates with AAT or QBE (qualified by experience) will also be considered.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational abilities, with a capacity to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
* A team player with strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a small, dynamic team.
