Taskmaster Resources, working with the University since August 2014 are looking to recruit an experienced Administrator for 2-3 months work. Immediate start available and the contract may be extended.
Job Purpose
To provide a professional and comprehensive administrative service in support of accreditation and quality assurance/enhancement activities across the School and partner institutions.
Duties
1. Under the guidance of the Accreditation and Quality Officer, to have responsibility for coordinating and supporting activities in accordance with the Schools annual schedule of accreditation and quality assurance/enhancement activities.
2. To provide procedural advice and guidance to academic and professional administrative services staff on the interpretation and implementation of relevant aspects of the Universitys quality assurance regulations, and other relevant policies and procedures.
3. To ensure the implementation of the Universitys policies and regulations within the remit of the role, and to assist with the creation, maintenance, and development of associated procedures.
4. To provide a professional administrative support service for validation and curriculum development activities, including: the preparation of paperwork; servicing of meetings as required; maintaining the accuracy of official documentation (eg. PSD/MSDs); and, liaison with relevant individuals/teams following consideration for approval.
5. To be responsible for managing the APL and syllabus matching processes within the School.
6. To provide administrative support for the Schools Research Ethics and Integrity Committee and associated processes, including the provision of procedural advice and guidance to staff and students and the timely confirmation of outcomes.
7. To assist with the Schools preparations for audits and reviews conducted by external agencies, for example Ofsted, HESES, PSRBs, accreditation bodies, and University-led quality reviews.
8. To provide support for Subject Review and Revalidation activities, including the preparation and collation of paperwork.
9. Under the direction of the Accreditation and Quality Officer, to organise and provide support for School-level thematic and quality reviews.
10. To provide comprehensive administrative support for activities relating to the Schools collaborative provision arrangements.
11. To support the external examiner appointment, induction and reporting processes.
12. To share responsibility for planning, managing, delegation and co-ordination of work for the Quality and Governance Assistants, including making sure tasks are completed correctly and to schedule.
13. To service and/or support the work of relevant School committees/working groups, including undertaking research as required.
14. To assist in the delivery of projects at a level commensurate with the responsibility of the post.
15. To provide a high standard of customer service, dealing effectively with all enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods. Contact methods will include face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g. email, SMS, Web) and other formats as appropriate.
16. To monitor and respond to emails from designated email accounts, collating FAQs that can be used for updating School resources, and referring complex matters to other members of staff/teams as appropriate.
17. To assist with the maintenance of the Schools Sharepoint site.
18. To contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the School through:
· a professional, collegiate and customer-orientated approach to service delivery;
· positive participation at relevant meetings and working groups;
· continuous monitoring of the service provided at an operational level and making recommendations for improvement as appropriate;
· collaboration and liaison with external contacts, students, and colleagues throughout the School and University, acting as a point of contact where appropriate; and,
· the maintenance of an appropriate working knowledge of other areas of the team in order to provide cover and continuity of service as required.
19. To undertake any other duty pertinent to the grade of the post that might be requested at any time.
