CGI has a new contract with a major Government Client. As part of this contract there are a number of key projects which CGI need to provide proposals against, as well as looking at extending the scope of the contract to provide as much value to both parties as possible.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Solution Architect role bridges the gap between the technical team, business team and project management.

You will define, validate and promote quality solutions for an opportunity, bid, or project, both internally and externally. This may be a standalone solution or part of a larger engagement.
You will build logical models of components and interfaces that contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas. Their models reflect the different stakeholder views and map specific areas of concern and customer benefit.
As part of your role, you will also;
Provide architectural oversight and input to business proposals
Support the design and implementation of a specific area of technology, technique, method, product or application are using expert knowledge in a particular technology stack, by being able to compare and contrast it with alternative solutions
Align the selection and application of the technology with the business and customer goals
Drive adherence to appropriate technical standards
Identify, assess and mitigate technical and non-technical issues and risk
Own collated effort estimates and costs from teams, subcontractors and suppliers for one or more subsystems
Support the preparation of technical plans, change governance and estimation using information from many sources

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Ideally you will have worked in a large enterprise level IT environment and you must have demonstrable experience of defining solutions using both Oracle databases and Linux servers.
You will have a broad understanding of end-to-end architecture and be comfortable with presenting complex solutions to senior stakeholders.

Desirable;
TOGAF Certified
Experience of Siebel CRM
Experience of IBM Master Data Management products
Experience of Oracle OBIEE
Experience of Informatica ETL tools
Has worked on large public sector projects
Can create proposals or has worked in pre-sales
