Uppingham School Sports Centre, which has a 25m pool, gym, squash courts and fitness classes, is open to the public. The market towns of Oakham (8 miles), Stamford and Oundle (both 15 miles) are each known for their private schools and are attractive period market town destinations in their own right.
Rutland Water provides sailing, fishing, and cycling routes, whilst there are golf courses at Luffenham Heath (8 miles) and Greetham Valley (15 miles), among others.
