Residential Childcare Workers

Our clients are a growing, family-owned private childcare provider dedicated to providing high-quality care, support, and education to children and young adults in a safe and nurturing environment. With a strong focus on child development, their organization aims to deliver exceptional care and support while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for experienced and compassionate individuals to join their team as Residential Childcare Workers. As a leading provider of residential care services for children in the United Kingdom, they are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to children in residential care homes.

- Foster positive and meaningful relationships with the children, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.

- Implement and follow individual care plans to meet each child's specific needs.

- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, prioritizing safeguarding and child protection.

- Collaborate with social workers and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support.

- Serve as a positive role model, encouraging children's engagement in educational, recreational, and social activities.

- Keep accurate records, including incident reports and progress notes.

- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

- Support and mentor junior staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

- NVQ / QCF Level 3 or currently working towards it is essential.

- Previous experience in a residential care setting with children and young people.

- Strong knowledge of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care.

- Excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both independently and within a team.

- Compassionate and patient nature, building rapport and trust with children.

- Resilient and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
