Job Purpose: The Head of Data Analysis and Insights is responsible for leading and enhancing the airports Data Reporting, Analysis, and Insights agenda. This role involves providing actionable and high-quality analysis and insights to operational teams, ensuring alignment with operational metrics and goals up to executive level. Additionally, implementing the MAG data strategy at the airport to increase data and reporting automation and create systems and processes for future readiness in a technology-driven and customer-centric business environment.

Stansted Airport serves approximately 28 million passengers annually, with projected growth to 43 million over the next decade.
The airport campus is undergoing significant infrastructure and transformational changes over the next five years.
MAG is undergoing a company-wide digital transformation program to automate and standardize data reporting to support analysis and insights.
There are numerous operational and performance monitoring systems requiring varied approaches, tools, and techniques for data processing and generating valuable insights.
Principal Accountabilities:
Lead and develop a team to provide actionable insights on airport performance, collaborating with operational departments to identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely data reporting to operational, project, and executive boards.
Oversee the refresh of the airports "comms cells" program, facilitating regular performance reviews based on data and insights.
Recommend actions and changes to operational teams based on insights, driving meaningful improvements in customer service and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Group Data and Strategic Analytics function to implement data and reporting automation strategies, maintaining reporting of KPIs and analytics.
Coordinate data and reporting requirements across the airport, prioritizing improvements and acting as the airports lead point of contact for data-related matters.
Provide technical support to digitize activities in alignment with the central strategy, feeding into wider data and reporting systems.
Ensure alignment of KPIs across the operation, facilitating coherent reporting to MD and Exec level.
Conduct proactive analysis to identify trends, root causes, and solutions, presenting findings to operational leaders and MD.
Define and implement analysis and insights requirements to support critical infrastructure, digital, and people change programs.
Decision-Making:
Strategic decisions regarding data and reporting strategy implementation.
Transformation of the airports approach to data and insights, prioritizing automation and data-driven decision-making.
Data and analysis for operational and executive level reporting.
Leadership of the airports comms cell program and overall operational reporting and analysis.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Passion for data-driven insights and driving improvement and change.
Strong numeric and statistical skills with analytical problem-solving experience.
Desirable postgraduate qualification in business management and/or data analysis.
Desirable knowledge and experience of programming and visualization tools such as Power BI.
Commercial acumen and ability to present arguments and recommendations based on evidence and data.
Excellent communication skills to articulate data and analysis outcomes effectively.
Experience managing, influencing, and collaborating with data analysts and technical experts.
Proven experience in data and insights within a complex multi-functional business environment, translating insights into actionable business improvements.
Experience supporting and advising senior business leaders up to Managing Director/Chief Executive level.
Excellent leadership capabilities to engage and focus the team on service-oriented performance.
