Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Blackpool
Salary: Up to £42k
We're currently in the process of sourcing top talent for a crucial role in our client's accounts team: they're on the lookout for a skilled Cost Accountant to fill this key position. This role will primarily focus on cost accounting and providing crucial factory information. The ideal candidate will either be CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or possess equivalent qualifications with 1-2 years of relevant experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to further their study, particularly with a preference for CIMA certification, or for CIMA part-qualified individuals seeking to transition into a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct cost accounting activities, including analysing manufacturing costs and variances
* Provide accurate and timely factory information for decision-making purposes
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights
* Support financial planning and analysis processes related to manufacturing operations
* Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
Your profile:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* AAT qualified looking to move on to CIMA or PQ CIMA looking for manufacturing experience
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex concepts clearly
