Value Match are working with a private sector organisation specialising in procurement services for construction, quarry, tunnelling or mining industries based in Manchester, who are looking to source a Procurement Professional with experience of construction, quarry, tunnelling or mining industries.
The role is office based. Salary £40,000- £48,000
As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for building a supplier network and managing existing suppliers alongside working closely with other members of the business to ensure deadlines are met.
You will forge great working relationships with suppliers, in a fast paced and challenging environment, so excellent communication skills are required.
The ideal Candidate will
* CIPS qualification is preferred but not necessarily required
* Experience as a buyer/junior buyer in the construction, quarry, tunnelling or mining industries.
* Strong negotiation skills
* Experience of building a supplier network and supplier management
* Proficiency with Microsoft packages, Adobe and Excel is essential.
* Great people skills
* Driving Licence essential
