This role will be reporting into the Commercial Director and working closely with the Partnerships Manager and will be office based predominantly but with a drive to be out meeting and developing relationships.

As the Commercial Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Project Acquisition:
Conduct thorough market research to understand the industry landscape, potential opportunities, and competitor activities.
Identify and pursue opportunities to secure funded projects in areas, such as but not limited to, Social Housing, Local Authority and other governmental schemes.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and tender responses.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and Main Contractors.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to stay informed about policies and guidelines related to social housing decarbonisation, clean heat and other innovative initiatives.
Commercial Strategy:
Develop and implement a robust commercial strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets across the group and drive value creation.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organisation and relevant network members where associated.
Assess financial viability, risks, and return on investment for potential projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Technical, Material Sales, Energy Services and Contracting teams to align commercial strategies with operational capabilities.
Provide insights and feedback to internal teams based on market intelligence and client feedback.

What success looks like in this role:
Build the pipeline of quoted opportunities with new and existing clients to £8m within 6 months and exceeding the target of £15m by 12 months.
Maintain the value of projects in Advanced Negotiations of £2m over 6 months, begin to initiate and develop the increase to £4m over 12 months.
Responsible for an awarded revenue value of £300k in first 6 months and £1.5m in first 12 months
