The Opportunity
Ford & Stanley The Rail Recruitment Experts are working with a market leader in rail vehicle maintenance and overhaul on their search for a Quality Engineer. This individual will play a key role in improving processes and will work closely with the Quality Manager to improve and promote a positive cultural change, drive cross-departmental collaboration and compliance with new process regarding all quality matters. In this position, the Quality Engineer can affect real change, as there is financial backing by the company to turn good ideas into practice, enabling the successful candidate to play a part in rail industry engineering innovation.

Milton Keynes
Role and Responsibilities:
Identify process areas for improvement and suggest action.
Conduct quality check to work carried out by welders on train modifications and overhauls.
Client communication and liaising with various departments.
The Candidate
The Quality Engineer will be an excellent communicator who can bring internal departments on board with change and will have an energetic and engaging personality. They will be passionate about providing a top-quality product / service to the client base and will have a positive attitude to facing challenges and getting stakeholders to buy in this business ethos transformation.
Key Criteria
Demonstrable experience in Quality (could consider a few years + HNC / HND qualification)
Stakeholder management and communication experience.
Experience in a manufacturing heavy engineering background (ideally rolling stock, but will consider other industries).
Lean / Six Sigma experience
