RSR Housing are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Birmingham for a Benefits & Council Tax Administrator.

This is a full time, office based, permanent role and offers a salary of £22,500 - £23,500 per annum.

Main Duties:

* Ensure the efficient allocation and payments of housing benefits and council tax contributions to providers monthly. They will handle all queries relating to housing benefits and council tax.

* Responsible for setting and achieving high performance standards across all aspects of housing benefits, council tax and provider payments.

* Assist with capture of Electronic daily remittances into remittance master.

* Allocate remittance numbers according to bank remittances.

* Follow up on any discrepancies in remittances with local council.

* Capture Council tax data in the housing management system for new and existing properties.

* Handle all rent reports queries in a fair and timeous manner.

* Answer all queries timeously from providers and residents

* Follow up and resolve enquiries related to Council Tax Liability orders and Enforcement orders.

Essential Requirements:

* Experience of processing housing benefit/council tax reduction claims.

* Experience of working towards targets and deadlines.

* Good numeracy and IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office 365 and excellent knowledge of Excel.

* Good standard of education minimum of 3 GCSEs grade C or above.

* Experience of working in customer facing role.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role will be subject to vetting and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances.
