We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who has a fantastic reputation within the Portsmouth area for its well-established residential home. The company has a number of homes across the South of England and are well-known for providing top quality care. Our client strives to deliver the highest standards of care within their residential home and are seeking a strong Senior Care Assistant with previous care experience to join their dedicated care team.
About the home:
This is a beautiful, purpose built 60 bedded residential care home specialising in elderly and dementia care. They were awarded a "GOOD" CQC report rating GOOD in all areas of care from their last inspection. Each room is beautifully furnished and comes with an en-suite.
The home is located in the heart of Portsmouth in Fratton and is easily accessible by both road and public transport.

Job Role - Senior Care Assistant
Hours - Full Time (36-48 hours per week, alternate weekends)
Shifts - 8pm-8am
Service - Residential
Rate of Pay- £10.70ph weekdays and £11.20ph weekends

Senior Care Assistant Duties:
* To Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents
*
To lead on the responsibility of residents individual care plans to ensure a person centred approach
*
To provide leadership and support to the care staff
*
Responsible for the administration of medication
As a senior care assistant you will be expected to lead by example at all times and provide strong leadership skills to the rest of the care assistants. You should have a strong work ethic and embody your care homes attitude towards delivering the highest standards of care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience within a Residential Care Home as a Senior HCA or Care Team Leader
*
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
* Medication trained
* Proficient with shift leading, care plans, safegaurding
