Full time starting from 27th November until July 2024

Pay: £140 - £215 per day!

About the role:

Supply Desk are working closely with a Secondary School based close in Southampton, that are seeking a full time Drama teacher to start on a long term contract from the end of November until July 2024 for maternity cover. The School are looking for a Drama teacher with a great passion for teaching the subject and building good relationships with students and colleagues. You will have with good recent experience teaching Drama in Secondary Schools. You will be a dedicated and professional Drama Teacher that will fully integrate in to the School's culture. The role is suitable for an experienced Drama Teacher seeking a long term role or an Early Career Teacher that is seeking a role in a supportive department. The School will consider ECTs and unqualified Drama Teachers that have relevant experience teaching in Schools.

About the School:

The School is a mixed Academy School for students aged from 11 to 16 years and comes with a Good Ofsted inspection in 2019. The School has around 1100 students in total. The School is conveniently located from Southampton centre, with regular public services to the area. The School offers regular training for staff and opportunities for career progression.

The candidate:

Deliver high quality Drama lessons in Key Stage 3 and 4 and building a strong relationship
with students and colleagues.
Monitor pupil progress for all lessons, keeping records that include assessment
outcomes and targets for English and set at regular intervals in line with school policy, to
enable all pupils to reach their full potential.
Support the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils through both
classroom teaching and in the role of Form Tutor.
Experience of teaching Drama curriculum in Key Stage 3 and 4.
The desire to join and become part of a successful English department.
