Morson are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a EHV Control Room Manager to join a leading power distribution business to provide high levels of internal/external customer service facilitating work on the network whilst maximising network performance. The role is based in Manchester and offering a competitive salary and package.
Skills and experience:
Proven experience / extensive knowledge in the electricity industry.
Have a HNC in electrical engineering (minimum).
Experienced in managing a team and leading in accordance with the company values.
Significant experience in a technical role within the utilities sector.
Strong track record in innovation and the delivery of change processes.
Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain and support the standards of Health and Safety as agreed, ensuring a safe working environment for our staff and customers.
Regulatory Interruptions reporting.
Data Steward for the Faults and Outage data domain.
Data Steward for the Load and Control data domain.
The provision of Hub Management Information to key stakeholders.
Provide an efficient Extremely High Voltage (EHV) network access and restoration service.
Hub Business continuity, delivery of operational and emergency plans and Grid code compliance.
Contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service for both internal and external customers for both the EHV Fault and EHV PSI experience.
Through co-ordination and planning of the EHV outage requests maximise the availability of real time network control.
Work across teams and directorates to assist and support in the delivery of operational goals on the EHV system.
EHV Network function testing.
Managing risk in line with corporate policies and controls.
Support and encourage the deployment of new technology & innovation.
Contribute to the management of the companys network emergency and incident response plans through out of hours escalation and Storm response.
