anzuk are recruiting for a SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join a supportive team at a school based in Somerset near Exmoor. This pivotal role profoundly impacts children's lives by delivering top-notch teaching and learning experiences. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of enhancing students' experiences, achievements, and opportunities, particularly for those who may face challenges in their learning journey or have SEND requirements. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for overseeing the SEND strategy while also providing support to our partner schools.

The Role:

As a SENCO you will have the unique opportunity to work across a variety of schools in the trust, collaborating with dedicated colleagues to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing effective strategies for supporting students with SEND
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualised education plans
Providing guidance and training to staff on best practices in SEND
Ensuring compliance with SEND regulations and policies
Contributing to the overall development of inclusive practices within the MAT Requirements:

Qualified SENCO status (National Award for SEND Coordinators or equivalent)
Proven experience in a SENCO role
A passion for inclusive education and the well-being of students with special educational needs
