Hexagon Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client located in St Helens, for the position of a: Permanent Manufacturing Engineer.

Salary: Up to £45,000pa +, Plus Benefits Plus Pension

Our client are a bespoke non-food manufacturing business and require an experienced manufacturing engineer to work across their production facility, there ideal candidate would be an Engineer who has Industry machine and manufacturing experience but this not essential as they will consider other manufacturing sectors and experience.

Our Client requires the following experience:

Engineering skills from working in a Manufacturing & production environments

Electrical & Mechanical engineering & PLC control experience.

Apprentice Qualified to HNC / HND in manufacturing engineering or similar

Confident in repairing, maintaining electrical and mechanical production machinery

Confident with operating and programming PLC Controls

Able to work with Jigs and tooling equipment and designs

Able to respond to machine breakdowns and reduce down time

Able to work to Lean manufacturing practices & continuous improvements i.e. 5S / six sigma etc.

Able to read machine planned drawings & able to complete audits

Able to cross train operators on various machines and general maintenance of equipment

Be able to manage your time efficiently throughout the day

Able to keep accurate records of break downs and service of production machinery

Confident with working with external suppliers

Be a team player and able to work with managers and directors across the business
