Senior Electrical Design Engineer Portsmouth, Hampshire Permanent £50k-£60k

This role is for a high-tech organisation who design and manufacture niche electric maritime products primarily used in the defence industry.

Youll be part of a great team of Engineers who pride themselves on innovation and enjoy working at the forefront of technology.

Working as part of a multidiscipline R&D Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the electrical systems that power and control various components within maritime platforms.

Youll take a leading role in design and layout of electronical systems and will collaborate with the team in order to integrate systems into the overall product.

The role will contact a large amount of Prototype and functional/safety testing work. Youll also take a leading role in creating documentation and reports related to electrical design (e.g. schematics and wiring diagrams)

Required experience:

* Electrical or Mechatronics Degree or Robust industry experience

* Good use of CAD software for Electrical Design

* Simulation and Analysis tools for Electrical Systems

Beneficial experience:

* 3D CAD / AutoCAD

* CAN Bus

* Knowledge of Hazardous Voltage products and regulations

* Background or interest in Electric Vehicles
