An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist based at their Oldham site
About The Role
They are looking for a driven and talented Procurement Specialist to implement purchasing strategies to achieve continuous improvement and managing supplier basis including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance etc. You will be responsible for the replenishment of non-production consumables such as PPE, stationary, vending machine etc. You will identify and propose new sources of supply and actively monitor market trends to identity changes, to support smart procurement.

They are always looking for ways to improve their current practice within Procurement through increasing efficiencies, effectively implementing savings, leading projects and monitoring market trends to identify changes and increase business opportunities.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Hold or be studying towards CIPS level 3
* Strong SAP experience and knowledge
* IT literature - Microsoft office knowledge
* Strong communication skills
* Actively engaged and proactive within a team environment
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
* Confident in decision making, with the ability to influence
* Able to evidence the ability to deal with complex challenges with positive results
* High levels of energy, drive and resilience
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* Understanding in operational controlling and finance matters
* Experience in project teams
