What is the role?
Based at our site in Wisbech, Engineering division your role will be working directly with customers to understand their specific technical requirements and ensure that TVS Products/solutions match expectations where possible. You will be responsible for creating accurate BOMs and estimations on current and new designs.
The main duties and responsibilities of an Applications Engineer/Estimator are:
* To ensure compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety
* To interpret tender documents so accurate sales proposals can be generated.
* Produces Sales quotations and subsequent BOMs and labour allowances.
* To reference and store relevant files in accordance with company procedures in a timely manner.
* Following procedures in the completion of tasks.
* Responsible for the timely completion of all related administration
* Working with Production/Manufacturing/Purchasing to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
* To work as part of the wider engineering team, supporting other colleagues and undertaking additional duties as required
* Any other duty as directed by the Applications Engineering Manager
You will need to have the following experience:
* Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.
* 2 years + experience in sales, customer service or application engineering.
* A strong understanding of engineering processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
* CAD Experience and or TrailerWIN
* Experience in DFMEA
* A strong attention to Detail
* Excellent Communication skills
