Packing Operative
8am - 4:30pm - Monday to Friday

Temporary on-going (potential of permanent contract)

We are working with UK's leading manufacturer in their field and looking to appoint a Packing Operative on a temporary on-going basis.

There is no heavy lifting involved and the successful candidate will join a friendly team in a supportive environment!

The position is to start as soon as possible and could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate!

Duties of Packing Operative:

* Pack products in accordance with packing specifications
* Bag products, using either bagging machinery or manually
* Wash products
* Carry out specific finishing activities
* Prepare customer orders ready for despatch
* Maintain the Packing area in a clean, tidy and efficient condition at all times
* Ensure products are labelled neatly and accurately
* Ensure all products are inspected in accordance with the appropriate inspection regime, separating and recording all non-conforming products
* Assist in checking stock as required
* After assessment and training Packing Operatives may be required to work in the Cutting & Finishing areas

Skills and Experience of Packing Operative:

* Previous packing or production experience desirable
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, including good level of spoken English
Numerate
* Accurate with natural attention to detail
* Self-motivated, and able to work without regular direction
* Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
* Ability to work as part of a team
