Mechanical Design Engineer

Initial 6 month contract / Outside IR35

£35.00p/h - £40.00p/h DOE

I am recruiting for a well-established project house supplier to world leading manufacturing companies. Due to ongoing projects in the business, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer on an interim basis. Initially there is a commitment of 6 months, but this is very likely to be extended due to project scope for a successful candidate:

For the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, you will require to conduct the following daily duties:

3D modelling, concept design and detailing using Solidworks
Working on pipework, conveyors, steel platforms etc.
Producing fabrication & installation drawings
Site surveys across several sites
Meeting project deadlines to a high standard
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following attributes:

Strong appreciation and experience within the food industry
Expert in the use and knowledge of Solidworks
Good understanding relating to steps for fabrication processes.
An astute professional, with the ability to excel within a design team
A team player, who can work on their own when necessary and strives for excellence
