Azure System Administrator - £65k + Car + Benefits Hybrid/Milton Keynes
We are recruiting an experienced MS certified Azure System Administrator with an interest in being involved in corporate Cloud strategy. You will join a Global Group IT team supporting a number of regional teams across UK, ROI and USA.
You must have the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and be involved in the IT strategy and future roadmap for the organisation. With a large focus on new system enhancement design, builds and installations.
Role will involve you being the go to person for maintaining and developing Microsoft Azure & 365 cloud services, Active Directory and related services, Windows server/client infrastructure and IT systems across the global business.
You will be a standalone SME in Azure administration and will not be micromanaged by your line manager and you will be encouraged to make the Cloud estate your own, there is no people management responsibility involved with this role.
As well as maintaining a stable and secure Azure & 365 cloud services and on-premises infrastructure and its development you will work closely with the Group IT Director to prepare and present change/improvement requests to Change Advisory Board.
To apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Be a strategic thinker capable of looking at the big picture
Good people skills Excellent stakeholder management, be a relationship builder
Hold a relevant Microsoft Azure Administration qualification
Have at least 5 years experience as a senior Microsoft Sys Admin
Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange Server
M365(Intune), WAF, Storage, Azure
Technical experience across Private cloud (VMWare/HyperV) Office365, RDS, VPN
IP Networking skills including but not limited to switching, firewalls, and routing basics.
Understanding of Cloud & infrastructure integration
Desktop infrastructure experience
Disaster recovery and site replication solutions experience
Experience with Cloud environments and Automation of tools (Chef/ Puppet/ Terraform)
Expertise in both multi-servers, stand alone and clustered solutions.
Expertise of clustering services, enabling High Availability failover
Experience with Enterprise Hardware and Management Tools
Extensive stakeholder and communication (Both written and verbal) skills
Scripting capabilities
Experience in the full product lifecycle including Concept generation, Design, Build and Support.
Expertise in interpreting, understanding, and solving complex technical problems/incidents
Proven project delivery experience
Experience working within a strict Change Management process
Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills
Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
