Career Teachers have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the staff at a fantastic Primary School located within Derbyshire. This will be a long-term role starting in November 2023 until July 2024 on a full-time basis.
The desirable candidate will be proactive, energetic and have experience working within a Year 3/Year 4 mixed classroom. You will be responsible for providing learning support to individuals and groups while supporting teaching staff. Alongside this, you will also be supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students physical, social, and emotional well-being with an empathetic and nurturing approach
Offering a firm and consistent approach
Building positive relationships with the children
Working as part of a teamRequirements:
Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum particularly in numeracy and literacy
Experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs
A desire to show every child that they matter and that they have potential
Have encouraging behaviour techniques
