Koura, an Orbia business and part of the Fluorinated Solutions group, is hiring for an Industrial Quality Assurance Manager to be based at our Rocksavage site, Runcorn!
Purpose:
To develop, support and drive the implementation of Safety, Health, Environmental & Industrial Quality management system arrangements across Koura UK. To ensure that compliance assurance activities (both internal and external) are planned and coordinated and are understood, and that the outputs are integrated into Koura UK activities. To ensure that suitable procedures and processes are available to support Koura UK industrial activities. To ensure a consistent approach is adopted to SHEQ activities across Koura UK. To actively develop tools to monitor SHEQ performance and implement processes of continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Champion a positive quality culture across Koura UK by advising and supporting the management teams to maintain and improve quality standards and performance. Manage annual Quality improvement plan setting.
* Monitor, audit and report on quality performance and management systems to maintain and improve effectiveness. Undertake analysis and work to populate audit schedules with stakeholders.
* Active support for non- operational teams, tracking of customer complaints and relevant investigations to support customer service activities and support delivery of resultant actions. Analysis of appropriate learning from incidents is shared.
* Responsible for the document management system to ensure effective document control is maintained. Manage the control and issue of product specifications.
* Responsible for managing SHE legislation update process within corporate software platform to ensure relevant updates are identified and reviewed within the management system.
* Provide input on quality related aspects to business support functions and processes e.g., new supplier onboarding/approval, raw material and refrigerant procurement specifications, new product introduction.
* Make decisions on the fate of non-conforming product and required corrective action to address quality related non-conformances.
Qualification and Experience:
* An established technical background with 5 years experience in a laboratory/operations environment.
* Competence in system auditing. Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor trained (IRCA certified course or equivalent).
* Technical competence in a SHE related topic e.g., occupational safety, environmental/sustainability.
* Experience in multidisciplinary business and cross functional engagement e.g., technical teams, procurement teams, site based operational teams.
* High standards, results orientated concern for impact and analytical skills.
* Proven experience with management systems including design, implementation, and auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) would be advantageous.
* Experience in managing legislation database systems for maintaining legal compliance would be desirable.
* Influencing and rational persuasion skills.
* Collation, manipulation, and utilisation of data to drive improvement projects and provide timely management information to all internal and external stakeholders.
* High SHE standards, results orientated concern for impact and analytical skills
