We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Indirect Buyer to join our procurement team on a day rate or contract basis within IR35 compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our business while working with a dynamic and passionate team.
Position Overview:
As an Interim Indirect Buyer / Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of indirect goods and services essential to our operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services across various categories, including Facilities Management (FM), Capital Expenditures (CAPEX), Packaging, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), and Utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect categories, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier relationship management
* Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimise terms and conditions while minimising risks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and align procurement activities with business objectives
* Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including IR35 guidelines
* Provide regular reporting and analysis on procurement performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and risk management
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within the food manufacturing industry
* Strong knowledge of indirect procurement categories
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Indirect within preferably within a manufacturing environment
