Koura, an Orbia business and part of the Fluorinated Solutions group, is hiring for a SHEQS Manager (Safety and Security) to be based at our Rocksavage site, Runcorn!

Purpose:

To provide professional SHEQS support, with a particular focus on conventional safety and security management providing advice across the Koura UK sites, ensuring legal compliance. To continuously improve SHEQS performance across the site, reducing the risk of harm to people and the environment.

Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of conventional safety and security requirements as per Koura and UK Government/regulatory requirements. To act as point of contact for Orbia conventional safety and security teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Act as the UK expert and centre of expertise and knowledge in SHEQS matters with expertise on conventional safety and security management in high hazard (top tier COMAH) and highly regulated installations, alongside laboratory/R&D activities.

* Identify, develop, review, and maintain SHEQS requirements as per Koura UK requirements. Including development of risk assessments, reviewing, and updating risk registers, supporting operational requirements and incident investigations.

* Champion a positive SHEQS structure by advising and supporting management teams.

* Support provision of conventional safety and security data to the regulators, the management team and Orbia corporate teams.

* Ownership of conventional safety and security for the Koura UK activities and associated interactions with regulators and stakeholders, providing direct technical support to the SHEQS Advisor.

Qualification and Experience:

* Minimum: Graduate in chemical/scientific/safety discipline.

* An established technical background with 5 years experience in a high hazard environment.

* Professional Occupational Safety and Health qualification or accreditation.

* Experience in highly regulated/COMAH sites.

* IOSH/IIRSM membership would be advantageous.

* Proven experience with management systems including design, implementation, and auditing (ISO9001/ISO45001) would be desirable.

* NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and/or NEBOSH diploma or similar would be desirable.

* Experience of security principles applied at high hazard installations would be advantageous.

* Experience in leading safety investigations would be desirable.

* Influencing and rational persuasion skills.

* Collation, manipulation, and utilization of data to drive improvement projects and provide timely management information to all internal and external stakeholders.

* High SHE standards, results orientated concern for impact and analytical skills
