Design Team Leader

Location: Rugby

Salary: £45,000

This is a demanding role for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, who will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers. The job will be based in Rugby however some travelling to customer sites will be involved.

A career path will come with this role with promotion expected within 2 years.

What you will be doing:

· Managing and monitoring complex projects

· Planning, organising, assigning, reviewing and evaluating the work of the engineering project team.

· Analysing information and assessing the results enabling the effective implementation of solutions to complex problems

· Creating supporting data to demonstrate productivity, resources, and facility output.

· Reporting probable and actual process changes

· Working with customer to finalise design requirements, reviews and approvals throughout design phases, manufacturing, and completion.

What you will bring to the team:

· Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Design

· Experience within the Automotive/Manufacturing industry

· Ability to design tooling.

· Good working knowledge of Catia or Solidworks

· Knowledge of FEA and stress analysis.

· Capable to work as a designer when not assigned any projects as Technical Leader

· Can delegate and manage multiple projects at any given time.
