Core teachers are working closely with a primary school in the M40 area of Manchester to find them a teaching assistant to support a pupil in year 5 with special educational needs.

Role

The school are looking for someone to support on a 1:1 basis with a young boy with ADHD and SEMH needs, he struggles socially and needs someone who can be nurturing, supportive and have a positive calming effect on him.

The pupil is a loving, bright and trusting individual who really values the relationships he makes however he struggles to regulate her emotions. He may speak negatively and act out when she is struggling to channel them correctly or understand how he is feeling, as his 1:1 support you will build a rapport with and get to know him so you can help him make the correct choices, use positive words and express himself in the right way.

This role will be:

* Monday to Friday each week

* 8:30am until 4pm-30 minutes dinner break

* Based in KS2 Year 5

* 1:1 support

It will be beneficial if you have had experience working with and supporting:

* SEN/SEMH

* ADHD

* Behavioural needs

* Emotional dysregulation
