We are currently looking for a Social Worker experienced in working in Adult social care (18-65yrs) for our Disability Focus Team at Devon County Council for a three month placement. As an agency worker in Devon County Council, you will receive regular supervision and an open-door approach from Team Managers. The team have regular formal Team Meetings, more informal wellbeing huddles/catch-up and group supervision opportunities.
The Social Worker will be supporting vulnerable adults from a range of backgrounds and needs primarily with a learning disability.
The work will encompass completing Community Deprivation of Liberty Assessments, Care Act Assessments, reviews, commissioning care, safeguarding work, CHC work, undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interest decisions. This work is required to support teams with an increase in workload, to reduce wait times and respond in a timely way to mitigate risks.
We require a full time experienced social worker who can complete face to face visits in Devon. We offer a flexible approach to work and place great importance on wellbeing. Devon County Council is currently operating a hybrid model where workers can work from home but will be required to come into the office on agreed days during the week, minimum 2 days required.
Knowledge of the Care First 6 system an advantage but not essential
